Quickbite Personal development plans: how to make them work

This module aims to provide a clear view of what a personal development plan (PDP) is for, what it should include, and how it fits into the CPD framework. By the end of the module you should be able to prepare for, write and review a meaningful PDP to support you in continuing your learning and avoiding the performance plateau of many senior doctors. First-episode psychosis: Parts 1 and 2

Over the past 15 years there has been an increase in the number of clinical services specifically for first-episode psychosis (FEP), notably early intervention in psychosis (EIP) teams. However, people are often unclear about why specific attention has been focused on FEP. In this two-part module we look at the assessment, diagnosis and rationale of FEP, as well as the various treatment approaches. CPD credits: 1 per module

Buprenorphine in opiate dependence

Buprenorphine is a NICE-approved treatment for both maintenance and detoxification in opioid dependence. It provides an important alternative to methadone and has similar efficacy in maintenance. However, relapse rates in the year after detoxification remain high, whatever the method of detoxification. This module will help you to gain confidence in the use of buprenorphine for both the maintenance and detoxification phases of opioid dependence. CPD credits: 1
