Since it was written another pamphlet has been received which was published by the Oregon reformers in January, 1910. In this later pamphlet some changes are made in the plan outlined above. “Because of strong opposition the provisions requiring initiative measures to be submitted to the legislature before being voted on by the people, and also the limitation on the number of measures that may be submitted by the legislature, are stricken out.” Active steps are being taken to have the Oregon proposals submitted to the people by initative petition at the November election.
