Abstract

Stoffregen & Bardy's proposal that perceptual systems can useinformation defined across two or more sensory domains is valuableand urgent in its own right. However, their claim of exclusivevalidity for global-array information is superfluous and perpetuatedfor incorrect reasons. The seeming ambiguities of individual arraysemanate from failures to consider relevant ecological constraintsand higher-order variables.
