A new species of Metacemyia (Dipt., Tachinidae) parasitic on Manowia (Orthopt., Eumastacidae) in Malawi

Extract

A new species of Tachinidae of the genus Metacemyia (tribe Acemyini) is described and figured, and keys are given to the Acemyines of the Ethiopian Region. The new species is recorded as a parasite of the wingless Eumastacid grasshopper Manowia sp. nr. alca Bolívar in Malawi. Taxonomic notes are included on the other Acemyini known from the Ethiopian Region.
