References

b From the original, entirely in the handwriting of the Chief Justice, preserved in the State Paper Office. It was not usual at that period to give the date of the year, but it was probably 1533, before Crumwell became Secretary to the King. Mr. Trevelyan was John, who married Avice Cockworthy; he died in 1546; hia son John, born in 1508, married Maud, daughter of Gyles Hyll and Agatha Brent: a pedigree of this family of Hyll is given in Collectanea Topog. etGeneal. vol. i. p. 409.
