Application, Absorption and Translocation of Boron in Oil Palm
II. Age of Palm, Frequency of Application and Influence of N and K
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 03 October 2008
Summary
The effects of different frequencies and rates of application of boron fertilizer were studied with regard to uptake of boron by the oil palm. The results indicated that annual or biannual application of this element maintained satisfactory levels in the leaf tissue. Heavy potassium fertilization was found to inhibit boron uptake but nitrogen had no effect.
