[Preceding and following the announcement of the “Enterprise for the Americas Initiative”, made by the U.S. government on June 27, 1990 (see 29 I.L.M. 1566 (1990)), the United States reached similar agreements with other countries in the western hemisphere; several of these are noted at 20 I.L.M. 1404 (1990), where the text of the Chile-United States Agreement, done on October 1, 1990, also appears.]
