page 226 note 1 This form is not to be confounded with the Æthiopic plur. fract. aqtūl, which, according to Dillmann (Gramm. d. Æth. Spr., p. 241), is a development from Arab. but in Sabæan it seems to correspond with Arab. cp. and ZDMG. xlvi, 537. Perhaps the Æthiopic aqtūl is also nothing but a differentiation from aqtāl.
