Footnotes

1

Previous lists of this series have been given at the ends of vols. 11-19 (1897-1922) of this Magazine. An index to the ten lists will be included in the forthcoming general index to vols. 11-20 of this Magazine.

A Committee on Nomenclature of the Mineralogical Society of America has published two lists of ‘recommended’ mineral names (Amer. Min. 1923, vol. 8, la. 51 ; 1924, vol. 9, p. 61), which are trivial and mostly unnecessay alterations as small, reddish-brown, spherical aggregates at Långban, Sweden. The optical characters indicate monoclinic symmetry. Named from a wart. [Min. Abstr., voh 2, p. 51.]
