Cadmium Telluride Detectors and Applications

Abstract

The current possibilities as well as the limitations today of cadmium telluride photon counters and spectrometers are reviewed. The various types of detectors are considered together with their main characteristics. These detectors are compared with mercuric iodide counters and possible applications of these devices are explained.
