The following sentence on page two of this article (Amasyali Reference Amasyali2022):

“The mass expulsions of Armenians and Greeks led to an almost complete removal of these communities over a short time span, so that by 1927, 99 percent of the newly founded Turkish Republic registered as Muslim.”

Should read as:

“The mass expulsions of Armenians and Greeks led to an almost complete removal of these communities over a short time span, so that by 1935, 98 percent of the newly founded Turkish Republic registered as Muslim.”
