"Concerning Books," the reimagined book section of TDR, is a dynamic forum for robust intellectual engagement with the most recent ideas, methodologies, and other decisive developments in the field of performance studies and adjacent fields such as history, philosophy, psychology, and cultural, social, and political studies. Rather than the conventional book review format, “Concerning Books” features essays of 3,000 to 5,000 words vigorously engaging several books or—in some cases—a single important book.
