Recently, there have been significant developments in this area that should increase our awareness of herbicide resistance and add to its urgency and also add to the timeliness of this topic … for this workshop. I'm referring to … the recent discovery of sulfonylurea-resistant weeds in Kansas, Colorado, and Idaho. Our goal for this workshop is to develop a strategy for controlling and avoiding herbicide-resistant weeds by tapping into the expertise and experience of the people in this room.
