In the recently published paper by M. Moczydłowska et al. (Reference Moczydłowska, Kear, Snitting, Liu, Lazor and Majka2021), the new fossil genus Fistula Moczydłowska in Moczydłowska et al. (Reference Moczydłowska, Kear, Snitting, Liu, Lazor and Majka2021), and new species Fistula crenulata Moczydłowska in Moczydłowska et al. (Reference Moczydłowska, Kear, Snitting, Liu, Lazor and Majka2021) were described. The generic name Fistula appeared to be taken and is homonym of a living mollusk Fistula Moerch, 1853 as cataloged in Nomenclator Zoologicus, uBio ZSL (Zoological Society of London). I provide herein the corrected new name to replace the homonymous name for the fossil genus as Silicofistula Moczydłowska, 2021, and species Silicofistula crenulata Moczydłowska, 2021. I thank D. Campbell (Geology Department of Natural Sciences, Gardner-Webb University, U.S.A.) for spotting the homonym name, and G. Vermeij for suggesting new name.
