Summary
“Life” can refer to the capacity for metabolic activity, or to merely animate being, or (in a metaphysical sense) to the capacity for the preservation and enhancement of conditions of existence, or to specifically worldly existence. By “factical life,” Heidegger understood the living of life in the(GA61:85/65).
