Summary
This chapter will consider PD categories for which research data is less abundant. It will not review research on the “Cluster A” disorders in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) (schizoid, paranoid, and schizotypal), since these conditions are best understood as subclinical variants of schizophrenia, and are classified in the Alternative Model of Personality Disorder (AMPD) as a single category (schizotypal PD).
