Summary

Equivalisation of income

Tables B.2 and B.3 set out the equivalence scales used to take into consideration economies of scale and to adjust for differences in size and type of family before and after housing costs. While they adjust for the number of adults in the household and also for children aged under and over 14 years, they do not take into consideration extra costs associated with disability or indebtedness. The tables also show the weekly equivalent monetary values by family type, in Northern Ireland, at the 60% median threshold for 2009-2010.
