Summary

Counter-roll of Robert de Pypeshull, controller of the king's works at Westminster and the Tower of London, for the expenses of works at Tonbridge to provide timber for the chapel of St Stephen at Westminster. Continuing work, from Michaelmas 1325, is recorded in a schedule attached to E 101/469/9; it is collated here with E 101/469/8 (no. 18).

Physical description: A roll of five membranes, sewn end-to-end; stained and torn on m. 1, with small loss of text, but otherwise in good condition and wholly legible.
