Summary
Synthetic cathinones are one of the largest groups of NPS detected globally, with 148 synthetic cathinones reported to the UNODC by the end of 2017. The European Drug Report 2019 stated that in Europe, synthetic cathinones are the second largest group of new substances monitored by the EMCDDA, with 130 detected in total.
