Summary

This part presents a framework for analysing the empowerment phenomenon. The suggested framework has five distinct strands which have to be woven together. These are – Process Orientation, Bases of Power Organising and Organisation, Mainstreaming, and Representative Organisations. A separate chapter is devoted to each s rand to analyse the approach of each of the three actors in the respective context of the concerned strand. The last chapter weaves these strands to present a framework for empowering society.
