The Oscar Morgenstern Memorial Lectures are a tribute to the memory of Oscar Morgenstern (1902–1977), a Professor of Economics at Princeton University and prior to that at the University of Vienna. In keeping with his own approach to scholarly investigation, the Lectures aim to challenge prevailing answers to key intellectual questions confronting the economics profession. Sponsored by the Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna, which Oscar Morgenstern helped to establish in 1960, the Lectures are delivered annually by a leading academic economist.
