Introduction to Logic

Description

This is an introductory course in both – formal and informal logic. It provides you with the tools to evaluate and construct arguments in a more rigorous and precise way. Topics cover fallacies and intellectual virtues, propositional logic, including symbolization and rules of inference, categorical logic, including rules for categorical syllogism, and methods for extracting and evaluating arguments, including evidence and probability.
