These instructions detail how to set up LTI configuration for Cambridge Spiral and Higher Education from Cambridge University Press textbook content in Blackboard.

Copying LTI and Deep Links from Higher Education from Cambridge University Press

You can copy textbook-specific LTI links from the textbook landing page on the Higher Education from Cambridge University Press. Please note that these will only be visible if the user is registered as a librarian or instructor.

To integrate textbooks from Higher Education from Cambridge University Press to Blackboard, please follow the below instructions.

Setting Up the LTI Tool

Go to your admin panel and setup a new LTI provider. We use LTI 1.1 Tool.





Please note for this configuration you do not need to configure Placements. Please proceed to your course.

Blackboard web link instructions

Once you have configured your provider tool you can proceed to your course to add Web Links to the specific content.

What Instructors Should See

The user can see the textbook they need to access, in this example, ‘The Cosmos’. The LTI link launch window is shown.

Cambridge Spiral will launch to the appropriate access information page based on the subscription that the institution has access to, or if the student is required to purchase the textbook. In this example, the institution has no access to the book.
