Summary
These verses follow the Hebrew.)
‘But flesh which is torn from the living animal while the life is in it, or that which is torn from a slaughtered animal before all the breath has gone out, shall ye not eat.
But the blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast which kills a man will I require that it be killed because of him; and at the hand of man, even at the hand of the person who sheds the blood of his brother, will I require the life of the man.
Whoso sheddeth man's blood with witnesses the judges shall condemn to death; but he who sheds it without witnesses, the Lord of the world will bring punishment on him in the day of the great judgement, because he created man in the image of the Lord.
And you be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.’
These verses follow the Hebrew, except that in verse 12 ‘God’ becomes ‘the Lord’, and the pronoun ‘me’, of God, becomes ‘my word’, as also in verses 15, 16 and 17.)
‘And it shall come to pass, when I bring clouds of glory over the earth, that the bow shall be seen during the day so long as the sun has not sunk in the cloud.’
These verses follow the Hebrew.)
These three were the sons of Noah: and of these they were spread abroad to dwell in the whole earth.
