Summary
And the Lord in his word remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that were with him in the ark: and the Lord caused the wind of mercies to pass over the earth, and the waters were calmed;
the fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain was forbidden to descend from heaven;
and the waters returned from off the earth continually falling back: and after the end of an hundred and fifty days the waters decreased.
And the ark rested in the seventh month, which is the month Nisan, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Qardon. The name of one mountain is Qardonia, and the name of the other mountain is Armenia, and there the city of Armenia was built in the land of the east.
And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month, the month Tammuz; in Tammuz, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.
These verses follow the Hebrew, except that in verse 8 the dove is specified as being a (tame) dove of the house.)
And the dove came in to him at eventide; and, lo, in her mouth an olive leaf pluckt off which she had taken from the mount of Olives: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
