Summary

Inquisition taken 11 August 8 Eliz. [1566] by Henry Compton esq., one of the lords of the manor.

Free tenants

[Treskellow, in Treneglos]:

John Fulford kt, in Treskellowe, 1 tenure and ½ acre Cornish, by knight's service and common suit; relief 3s. 8¾d.; rent nil except suit.

[Treneglos (parish)]:

Edward Morthe, in Treneglod [sic], 1 fee with 1 water mill, by knight's service and common suit; relief 16s. 8d.; yearly rent at the 4 terms 13s. 4d.

[Trewonnard, in Treneglos]:

Anthony Burie gent., in Trewonarde, 1 tenure with ½ acre Cornish, by knight's service with common suit; relief 3s. 8d.; rent nil except suit.

Sum of free tenants yearly, 13s. 4d.

[Treglith, in Treneglos]:

Thomas Harrye, by copy dated under the seal of John Rudgeway and others, 22 October 4 Edw. VI [1550], 1 tenement in Treglighs which is measured and divided between him and Thomas Pope, house in which he lives, garden and orchard, ½ rood, close called Above Towneparke, 4 acres beyond 1 acre of his own bought from Morthe, close called Longeaker, 2½ acres beyond 1 acre of his own, 2 closes lying together called Inner Sowth and Homere South, 5 acres, park called Haye Syde, 2 acres, close beyond the water called a ponifold, 3 acres, close called Treglissedowne newly en closed, 10 acres; yearly rent 13s. 6d.

Thomas Poope, by copy dated as above, the other tenement in Treglihes equally divided between him and Thomas Harrye, house in which he lives, garden, close called the Parke Above the Towne, 2 acres, close called Longe Akers of which part is meadow, 3 acres, close called Wylland, 3 acres, close called the Wyll Parke, 2½ acres, close called the Parke by the House, 2 acres, close called a down newly enclosed, 10 acres, close called North Parke, 1 acre; rent 13s. 6d.

[Nether and Higher Scarsick, in Treneglos]:

John Congdon, by copy dated 3 September 10 Hen. VIII [1518] under the seal of John Fourd, for a fine of 6s. 8d., 1 tenement in Nethescasocke, house in which he lives, other necessary buildings, garden, orchard, close called Coldon, 10 acres, close called Middell Parke, 8 acres, close called Myll Parke, 8 acres, close called Myllham, 1 acre, close called Queyna Parke, 8 acres, close called Bakes Parke, 2 acres, close called Wyll Parke, 1 acre, close called Bove Parke, 2 acres; yearly rent 16s.
