LULU: Title deeds. En nou waar's die law? Fok jou law, Strijdom. Dis ‘n rich man's law.
JAKES: Get your Boere out. The rivers are running. Take your guns, take your Saracens en gaan weg. Give way Strijdom, give way.
MAMARITI: Here we come, Strijdom. Watch out, this car's moving! It's got no wheels. Here we come. We're gonna roll, we're gonna roll right over you.
MINGUS: Kom Boere, gee pad, gee pad, gee pad!
FAHFEE: Strijdom, remember the Defiance Campaign. Ons is in Defiance. Ten thousand people broke your rubbish laws. Boere gee pad, gee pad, gee pad. Ons pola hier! Gee pad.
(The song builds as the Cast prepare for the next scene. RUTH and MAMARITI seat themselves at the kitchen table and cut vegetables. LULU resumes her studies and JAKES sits at his typewriter. The song ends.)
FAHFEE: News of the Day! Dikgang tsa gompieno! Congress calls for a fight on all fronts. This year is the year of the Congress of the People. We won't move. What's the number? Yes? Yes? It's 26. 26 June 1955 - one nine five five.
