Mr Hoare the Banker. 2 or 3 Presb. from London in the Summer, but go to Church. Mr Whitaker, Counsellor & Mr Tonson Bookseller, Absenters, on a misunderstanding with the last R. The first leaving the Parish. The last intends to come to Church. Whole Service on Sundays Two Sermons in Summer. Prayers always on Holydays: & 8 months in the Year, W. Fr. R. will exp. Cat. every Sunday in the Summer. Monthly Sacr. in Summer: only on Chr. Day in Winter. Abt 20 Com. ordinarily. Offertory money given by R. usually to the Clerk, Beadle & other Poor. 1761 Gates wanting to the Church Yard, & Commandmts to be made legible & clean. Church old: outside much damaged by the Weather: something shd be done to it. One Rose, a Citizen of London, buried here, hath left 20s a Year to the parish, to keep a Rose Tree planted on his Grave. 1767. Sept. outside decently repaired. Ornamts at Mr Hoares Expence. Stone Corners of the Tower decayed. Only 3 Bells in it: frames rotten: no peal rung. Leave desired to sell two towds Repairs.
