The Vlasov equation: from space to laboratory plasma physics

The Vlasov equation: from space to laboratory plasmas

The Vlasov equation is used for the modelling of a wide range of phenomena occurring in natural and laboratory plasmas as well as in other many-particle systems displaying a collective behaviour. This special issue aims at providing an up-to-date summary for researchers working on any of the many facets of the Vlasov equation. Papers on theoretical developments, computational methods and/or the interpretation of experimental results are welcome for submission. Special attention will be given to works on space and astrophysical plasmas particularly those related to the THOR mission.

Paper submission will begin after the end of the VLASOVIA conference.

Submissions should be clearly identified as intended for the Special Issue "The Vlasov equation: from space to laboratory plasma physics" (use the pull down menu).

Please note that all contributions must be received no later than December 29th, 2016.

We look forward to receiving your submission!
