Summary

Most annual bibliographies listed in the 1976 Bibliography continue to appear, although their coverage can be uneven. Interest in Chrétien de Troyes, notably in Eastern Europe, Central and South America, and parts of Africa, has not always been recognized or identified. The contributions from Japan have grown remarkably, although much of it has gone unnoticed or unread in Western Europe and North America.
