Summary
33 And he planted an oasis at the Well of the Seven Lambs, and he prepared in it food and drink for those who passed by and returned, and he used to declare to them there, ‘Acknowledge and believe in the name of the word of the Lord, the Everlasting God’.
Other Targums on Genesis xxi. 33
F.T. (Gins. p. 12; see also p. 77):
And Abraham planted an oasis in Beer-sheba and prepared in it food and drink for the people, and when they had eaten and drunk and had tried to pay him for what they had eaten and drunk, our father Abraham would say to them: ‘Pray before your father in heaven; from what is his you have eaten, and from what is his you have drunk.’ And they did not move on from there until he had made them proselytes and instructed them in the way everlasting. And Abraham worshipped and prayed there in the name of the word of the Lord, the Everlasting God.
Notes on Genesis xxi. 33
