Case 33 - Merkel Cell Carcinoma of the Lymph Node

Summary

A 79-year-old female presented with a rapidly growing oval, nontender nodule, localized behind the ear. Ultrasound examination showed a vascularized solid lesion of the superficial lobe of the right parotid gland that was surgically removed. The patient was free of disease 8 months after treatment.
