Ʒe þat rede þis boke or here it redde i pray ʒow praith for sir roberte soule and alle cristen soulis þat gaf þis boke to þis place for wo so praith for anoþer laburse for hymselfe and schal haue grete mede.

Inscription in a hand very similar to that of the main scribe, following the text of the Speculum Vitae (NIMEV 245). Doyle diss. i.84–5 and fn 17 notes that the inscription paraphrases the end of the poem, and that there is another similar inscription in BL Royal 17.c.viii.
