Prose Merlin, romance translated from the French prose Merlin. Ends imperfectly. Sections numbered up to 599. IPMEP 246; Wells Rev. 1:236 [19]. Edited from this MS by H. B. Wheatley, 4 vols, EETS os 10, 21, 36, and 112 (London, 1865, 1866 & 1867, 1899). Other texts: Oxford BodL Rawl misc. 1370 (olim 1262) contains a fragment of the text (comprising p. 317 lines 15–34 in Wheatley's edition); otherwise unique.
Inscription: ‘Eliynor Guldeford’ (f. 35v).
s. xv. LALME I:67 localizes the language to Kent, LP 9470.
